Our vision is to be the agency partner our clients can’t imagine living without. To fulfill that vision, we are committed to doing more than simply meeting our client’s needs in terms of planning the perfect corporate event, meeting, or incentive program. While our organization offers a wide variety of services—from production services to registration and event logistics—we also make sure to keep our eye on matters of accessibility, diversity, and overall wellness. That’s why we applaud PCMA President and CEO, Sherrif Karamat, CAE, for launching the Ascent CEO Promise at IMEX Frankfurt. The Ascent CEO Promise asks CEOs to embrace an environment of inclusiveness in both our workplaces and in our events.

Bishop-McCann is proud to step up to the challenge. We have been a steadfast supporter of diversity and inclusion, and we prioritize these traits not only in our client’s programs but also in our company culture. As a result, we have a fun, reliable, and safe environment to foster growth and creativity in a myriad of ways. After incorporating these important qualities into our environment and with our clients, we’re honored to have had these efforts awarded by multiple organizations.

  • Verizon Supplier Spotlight
The Verizon.com Supplier Diversity Blog honored Dan Nilsen, our founder, in a Supplier Spotlight article regarding the prioritization of diversity at Bishop-McCann. Dan certified Bishop-McCann as an LGBT-owned business, and the company has seen endless benefits ever since.
  • Certified LGBT Business Enterprise
We are a proud certified LGBT Business Enterprise (LGBTBE, Certification Number 10126), and we’re continuing to do our part in keeping up the conversation to move more businesses to get their certifications as well.
  • Community Leadership and Philanthropy
In addition to Bishop-McCann’s Just Right Projects and other philanthropic work, founder Dan Nilsen was specifically awarded the Community Leadership and Philanthropy Award from the Medical Missions Foundation in 2017.
  • Silver Status Workplace Certification
Teamwork really does make the dream work, especially when it comes to making sure our team is happy and healthy. Everyone is the happiest and works best when they’re healthy, so we’re constantly working towards finding creative ways to inspire wellness for everyone in our organization. Our work to ensure the health and happiness of our associates has allowed us to receive the “Workplace Wellness Certification” from the KC Chamber’s Healthy KC Workplace Wellness initiative.

In addition to these recognized efforts, we’re always working toward helping our associates and our communities in any way we can, especially through the Just Right Projects. Supporting others in the community allows them to thrive, and when our communities thrive, we can, too.
